Hello, I’m Sonia the founder and maker behind Ruby & Rose Design.

My journey into jewellery began during maternity leave, when I was searching for a creative outlet in those early days of motherhood. What started with handmade polymer clay earrings and local markets soon grew into something more meaningful. I quickly realised I wanted to create higher quality pieces, jewellery designed to last and one day, to be treasured as heirlooms.

I’ve always been drawn to the sentimentality of jewellery, how it not only reflects our personal style but holds memories, meaning and connection. This love led me to create my Family Bunch – Birth Flower Collection, inspired by my background in floristry and the symbolism behind each bloom. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to honour the people and moments we hold closest. Whether it’s a symbol of your child a reflection of your own journey or a tribute to someone dear, I believe jewellery should feel like you — your story, your love, your memories, forever held close.

Today, I create in small, intentional batches, with a focus on thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. As I continue to evolve, I’m exploring the ancient technique of lost wax carving — a step toward creating more organic, unique and enduring pieces, each with its own beautifully personal touch.
